In 2013, LinkedIn acquired Pulse, a popular newsreader app. Their goal was to increase regular visitation to their site, as well as enhancing their image as a trusted resource for business professionals, by becoming the new leader in industry news, thought leadership, and discussion.
To help ease this transition, I was brought on by the team at Heat, a San Francisco ad agency, to develop taglines and messaging for this new LinkedIn Pulse product, which were eventually developed into a website for the product as well.
Messaging was developed to present LinkedIn Pulse as not only the best way to keep up with professional news, but also an absolute necessity to stay at the top of one’s game, professionally. Key features were highlighted, including personalized access to industry insights, advice from top industry influencers, and conversations with industry peers.
